Controlling costs is especially important in today's economy. Competitive bidding is one of the most effective means of minimizing the cost of operating supplies, and it may be mandatory when public funds are involved. Fisher & Associates has developed a process to generate a biddable operating supplies package which simplifies the competitive bidding process that has led to significant cost savings.
Fisher & Associates does not sell any equipment or supplies whatsoever, which means that we adopt a client's financial interests as our own. From years of experience, both domestically and internationally, our designers have gained the expertise to develop comprehensive supplies lists for most public and private food service facilities.
A Fisher & Associates consultant first meets with the client to set the requirements, then develops a baseline list appropriate to the general nature of the facility. The general list will be reviewed by the client's designee, such as a Food & Beverage Director or Chef. This list is prepared electronically using software that not only makes it easy to customize, but also allows strict control of item descriptions and quantities so that bidders can enter their price for each item but can't change descriptions or quantities.
Once the final list has been approved, it is given to the client for release to competitive bidding. Because the list is prepared electronically, it may be released to a much greater pool of potential bidders. After bids have been reviewed and a vendor selected, Fisher & Associates can, if desired, provide liaison service between the client and the vendor to ensure timely and complete delivery.
